We have many ways to worship at Resurrection:
TRADITIONAL: 8 & 11 a.m. in the Sanctuary
Our traditional worship includes Lutheran hymns and liturgies led by organ, piano and trumpet. The service also includes other choral and instrumental groups, along with scripture readings, prayers, the creeds and life-centered, Biblically based sermons. Holy Communion is celebrated weekly and all are welcome.
CONTEMPORARY: 9:30 a.m. in the Resurrection Faith Center
The contemporary worship features praise songs, prayers and creeds projected on large screens, and Holy Communion is also celebrated weekly. The service is led by the music of our enthusiastic contemporary worship team featuring song leaders, guitars, keyboard and percussion instruments.
OUTDOORS IN THE GROVE: 8 a.m., 1st and 3rd Sundays June-August
On the first and third Sundays of the month in June through August, the 8 a.m. worship moves outdoors to our worship site under the canopy of trees in our peaceful oak grove at the back of the church property (follow the signs!). This casual morning worship experience in the beauty and inspiration of God’s creation. You may want to bring a seat cushion and a blanket if the morning is cool!

Baptism and Holy Communion – celebrating the sacraments
In Baptism we are welcomed in the joy and presence and God’s loving family and are cleansed by the water and the word of God promising forgiveness and grace.
In Holy Communion we celebrate the meal which Jesus shared with his disciples on the night before he died on the cross. In this meal we receive the bread and wine believing that Christ is present to us in these common elements to offer us forgiveness. We give thanks to God for this gift (Eucharist means thanks-giving) and are joined together as the body of Christ and sent out to love and serve our neighbor.
All are welcome at the Lord’s table. We commune by intinction. You will be handed the bread or wafer and will dip it into the chalice. The red liquid is wine; the clear liquid is grape juice. These are the free gifts of God for all the people of God.
Nursery
The Nursery is located in our Classroom Building adjacent to the Sanctuary and Faith Center. Our nursery caregivers provide a safe and loving environment for children, ages 2 months through 5 years of age, while parents attend church services and Bible studies.
Parents receive pagers so that we can easily find a parent when needed. We perform background checks on all caregivers and train them in CPR and first aid.
Please bring a diaper bag with wipes, diapers, pacifiers, sippy cups, bottles, etc. Please make sure your child’s items are labeled.
If you have any questions about our Nursery, please contact our Nursery Director, Shana Liddell at 916-662-2022 or shana@lcrchurch.org.
There is also a cry room at the back of the sanctuary where parents can tend to their babies and still participate in the service.
