Jim & Lorraine Wells

The North Roseville Recreation Education & Creativity (R.E.C.) Center serves families in the neighborhood and is proud to sustain a healthy, stable environment that creates a positive impact on the lives of at-risk children.

Roseville REC maintains high priorities in education and academic support, life skills training and encouraging creative outlets.  We believe in giving our youth a chance to experience different opportunities that they would not have otherwise.

Many people from Resurrection have been involved with projects at Roseville REC including Jim and Lorraine Wells who volunteer at the Roseville REC Facility on a weekly basis.  Lorraine reads to the children one or two days a week and plants tomatoes in their raised garden beds.  Jim works on fixing up bicycles that are in need of repair.  If you would like to volunteer at Roseville Rec, contact: Jim and Lorraine Wells at jlw@surewest.net

The T-Shirt Dress Makers!

In 2013, T-Shirt dresses have been sent to Idaho, India, Uganda, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Hungary.  Locally our donations have gone to the Loomis Head-Start, St. John’s Shelter for Women and Children, Roseville Home-Start, south Sacramento and to the Sleep Train’s foster children’s clothing drive.

This ministry provides the patterns and support to anyone who would like to make T-shirt dresses.  These dresses are sent with congregation members traveling to places where they may be needed.

Thank you to all who sew and donate T-shirts and material to this project.  Packets are in the Narthex and the Faith Center. We are also in need of people to take dresses along on their trips.  Contact:  Linda Corr, 791-0622.
