“The Courage House radiates love and light, so working there was like swimming in God's love and giving love to those who live there. Such a blessing”!
“It was a highlight to hear that the work we accomplished was something they really needed doing and weren't sure how they were going to get it accomplished. God provided what they needed through us. God's work. Our hands. (and a tractor!).”
“God gave me strength to get up after working on my knees. Maybe on my knees is where I belong!”
“The highlight at Lutheran Social Services was watching the children engage in all the activities with energy and enjoyment. The intergenerational team from Resurrection found the relationship reciprocal – becoming the giver and receiver, host and guest”.
“It was a highlight knowing we are helping some girls who have been in a very tough situation and needed a safe, caring, loving home. Working with the outside team was a pleasure. Everyone really stepped up and we were able to get a lot done in a just a few hours. One of the courage house volunteers indicated at the end of our time that she wants to know when we are coming back so she can work with us again! It was also nice to do some prep work to get ready for ground breaking on a new house for 6 more girls”.
