PASTOR DON HAVEN: LEAD PASTOR

Pastor Don became Resurrection’s Lead Pastor in February 2008. He graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn., and earned a Masters of Divinity from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minn. Pastor Don has a wide experience both in parish ministry and in congregational fundraising and stewardship. His ministry is enhanced by his musical talents, which include singing and playing the trumpet and guitar. Pastor Don’s wife, Cindy, is his "partner in ministry" who was ordained in 2011 and serves as one of the pastors at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sacramento. They have three children and six grandchildren. Both love to ski and enjoy regular walks on the trails near Folsom Lake. Recent sermons are available for listening or downloading. |
KATHY KIMBROUGH: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Kathy, a native of Sacramento, has been a member of Resurrection since 1983. Kathy has three grown sons – Brian, Kevin and Michael. She was hired as Resurrection’s part-time secretary in 1987 and today is the congregation’s Administrative Assistant, providing administrative and secretarial support for professional and lay staff. Kathy enjoys reading, all types of sports and visiting with her children and grandchildren. |
JANE ANDERSON: DIRECTOR OF MUSIC MINISTRIES

Jane and her husband, Jon, moved to the Sacramento area from Phoenix in 2005 and happily landed at Resurrection. She has always been involved in church music – from singing in choirs to directing choirs, being the organist, the accompanist or the music director. Before moving to California, she was the full-time director of music at Mountain View Lutheran Church in Phoenix – a 3,500-member congregation. Jane’s passion is getting people involved in the music program of the church and “using” those people to let the Holy Spirit move through the congregation in music. |
PATRICK NEAL: DIRECTOR OF CONTEMPORARY MUSIC

Patrick became the Asst. Director of Music Ministries/Contemporary Worship Service, in Feb of 2012. Previously, he served on staff as the Director of Contemporary Worship at Centerpoint Community Church, formerly First Presbyterian church of Roseville. He has a degree is music education from Pepperdine University. He has been married 33 years and has 3 grown children. Patrick, or Pat, loves to see people touched by the power of music during worship. In his spare time he enjoys cooking, video games, movies, live theater, hanging out with his kids, and walking with his sweetheart.

TONY ELWELL: MAINTENANCE/CUSTODIAN

Tony was born in Sacramento, a graduate of Del Campo High School and Sacramento State holding a degree in Political Science. A former Division 1 Track star, he is an avid runner. Tony and his new bride, Barbara, reside in Granite Bay. Tony is a general contractor and runs his own small business, Valley Property Preservation. From roof to floors, Valley Property Preservation handles it all. When not running his business, Tony will be around our campus keeping it safe and maintained. Shana, a native Californian, attended West Valley College in Saratoga, studying early childhood education. Married to Robert in 2005, she and her husband reside in Folsom. Shana joined Resurrection as a nursery attendant in 2005 and now directs our Nursery, coordinating and providing a loving, clean, safe environment for infants, toddlers and preschool-age children. |
DIANE MCCAULEY: EVENTS AND BUSINESS ADMINISTRATOR

Diane grew up in Woodside in the San Francisco Bay Area. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Chico. She and her husband, Craig, married in 1977 and have two boys, Chris and Brian. Diane joined the Resurrection staff in February 2006. As Events and Business Administrator, Diane schedules and manages use of facilities at the church. |
KIM MEDER: BELL CHOIR DIRECTOR

Kim became the Bell Choir Director of “Make a Joyful Noise” when a set of bells was donated to the church in 1991. Not knowing anything about bells, she learned about this music ministry from the bell director at Advent Lutheran Church in Citrus Heights. Her previous music endeavors were playing violin in various high school, college and community orchestras. Kim has a BS in Biological Sciences from UC Davis and a teaching credential in math and science. She has passed the CPA exam and been a phlebotomist. Kim is married to Frank and has two children, James and Megan. She keeps busy at home doing accounting and tax preparation, and her favorite pastime is playing tennis. |
TROY PETERSON: DIRECTOR OF YOUTH & FAMILY MINISTRIES

Troy joined Resurrection staff in 2010 as the Director of Youth and Family Ministry. He was born in Sacramento and grew up in Granite Bay before earning a bachelor’s degree in Youth Ministry from Azusa Pacific University and his Masters Degree in Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena. He married his wife, Heather, in 2010 and they live in Roseville. Troy has worked at numerous churches in the area as well as in Southern California, and he currently overseas all ministries to youth and families at Resurrection. |
KATIE STABLER: DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

Katie became Resurrection’s Children’s Ministry Leader in 2011 after having served in a similar position for three years at Davis Lutheran Church. She studied Family Ministry while attending Trinity Lutheran in Washington state. Katie and her husband, Robert, live in Lincoln and have two daughters, Makayla and Addison and a son, Logan. In her spare time, Katie and her family enjoy camping, hiking and outdoor activities. |
